CYS Global Remit welcomes the Year of Rabbit with a festive lunch in our office amid all the red “lanterns” beautifully hand-crafted by our CYS employees. The Caishen or “God of Wealth”, played by our Business Support Officer Mr. Darren Cheang, greeted everyone with gold coin (chocolate) and well wishes.
Lo Hei platters were prepared for prosperity tossing by CYS employees followed by a “cutting” ritual for a roasted golden pig which is a symbol of abundance, wealth, and prosperity in Chinese culture. A sumptuous lunch with a variety of traditional foods such as dumplings, rice cakes, and fish, to symbolize prosperity and good fortune, was served.
Ang Baos, or red envelopes filled with money are given to all CYS employees as a symbol of good luck by CYS CEO Ms. Ann Wee. A happy, prosperous and luck Year of Rabbit to all our customers, agents, friends and colleagues, HUAT Ah!
