Last week, Marina Bay Sands Expo was alive with the enticing aromas of fresh coffee, baked pastries, artisan gelato, and the vibrant energy of burgeoning business connections as SIGEP Asia & Restaurant Asia 2025 took centre stage. CYS Global Remit was proud to be more than just an observer—we actively supported and engaged with the dynamic F&B community shaping Asia’s culinary landscape.

Beneath the tempting treats and fragrant aromas, SIGEP Asia embodies a lively mix of artistry, enterprise, and opportunity. Covering everything from handcrafted gelato and sophisticated chocolate-making equipment to curated teas sourced from remote plantations, the exhibition offers a comprehensive view of the food and beverage value chain across Asia and beyond.

At this year’s event, we connected with over 50 businesses, many expressing keen interest in our cross-border financial and remittance solutions. What mattered most was not just the number of conversations but the depth of understanding and alignment with the challenges faced by SMEs striving to expand globally. 

More Than Just Business: Listening and Learning 

As we explored different categories—from independent coffee roasters to legacy chocolate makers—we went beyond simply promoting our services. We listened. We took the time to understand each vendor’s unique journey, operational pain points, and what drew them to SIGEP Asia. For some, it was gaining visibility in a competitive industry; for others, exploring new export markets, digitizing payments, or simplifying international supplier transactions. 

This insight was invaluable. Behind every pastry, scoop of gelato, or perfectly brewed cup of tea are entrepreneurs navigating a complex web of cross-border payments, foreign exchange risks, and cash flow timing—areas where CYS can truly make a difference.

Of course, not every moment was about business cards and solutions. The atmosphere at SIGEP Asia was warm, lively, and full of flavor. We savored everything from single-origin pour-over coffees and inventive fusion brews to velvety gelato that melted on the tongue. These small, delightful experiences reminded us of something fundamental: behind every product lies passion, patience, and perseverance
