In this week's edition of CYS Insights, we are delighted to share a heart-warming story that embodies the essence of giving back and fostering unity within our team and the community we serve.
At CYS Global Remit, we firmly believe in making a positive impact that goes beyond business transactions. Our recent endeavour aimed to bring joy to the lives of those in need within our community. Teaming up with Allkin Active Ageing Centre and AdvenTour, we embarked on a mission to support disadvantaged households across the island.
These households represent a diverse range of individuals facing various challenges, from financial instability due to job loss to families coping with the loss of their primary breadwinner. Among them are seniors living independently and individuals with limited opportunities to earn a living due to disabilities.
With a dedication to lending a helping hand, our team came together to distribute goods to 175 households in Ang Mo Kio. But our impact went beyond the act of giving – it was the sense of unity and collaboration that truly defined the day.
During the distribution, an unexpected challenge arose when some essential goods were misplaced. However, our entire company rallied together as one cohesive unit. Without hesitation, every team member pitched in, working tirelessly to rectify the situation. This spontaneous display of teamwork and solidarity was truly inspiring, reflecting the values that define our organization.
Furthermore, amidst the distribution efforts, we took the opportunity to strengthen bonds within our team through engaging icebreaker games. New staff members were encouraged to share anecdotes, sparking laughter and camaraderie throughout the room. These moments of joy not only reinforced our internal connections but also reminded us of the collective impact we can achieve when we work together towards a common goal.
At CYS Global Remit, our commitment to corporate social responsibility extends beyond monetary transactions – it's about forging meaningful connections and uplifting those in need.
