Oktoberfest 2026: Cheers to Another Memorable Celebration!

From Munich to Singapore, the spirit of Oktoberfest has travelled a long way!
Known as the world's largest folk festival and beer celebration, Oktoberfest is all about bringing people together over good food, drink, music, and merriment. This year, CYS brought our own take on the tradition to life — with team games, a hearty feast, karaoke, and plenty of opportunities to enjoy each other's company beyond the usual workday.
CYS Global Remit marked the occasion with four teams — Blue, Black, Red, and Green — taking part in a series of challenges designed to test their creativity, teamwork, and a little bit of luck.
Games and Challenges
The event kicked off with the Relay Drawing Game, putting creativity and communication to the test with animal- and movie-themed drawings. With only seconds to pass each drawing along, the final guesses were often as entertaining as the drawings themselves.
Next came the Puzzle Challenge, where teams raced to complete their puzzles. Flags went up, team names rang out, and everyone gave their all to secure those valuable tokens.
For The Showdown, strategy met luck as teams battled to build the strongest card hand, with just one chance to exchange their cards and turn the game in their favour.
The tokens earned throughout the games then became betting chips for the final event, Pick Your Winner. With five colourful horses and two races, teams placed their bets and cheered their chosen horses to the finish line, with plenty of excitement along the way.
The Feast
After all that competition, it was time for a much more important task: food! Everyone tucked into a hearty Oktoberfest spread featuring:

Pork Knuckle
German Potato Salad
German Cucumber Salad
Pretzel Chips
...and more
With beer and Kinderpunsch on hand, it was the perfect way to refuel, relax, and enjoy some well-earned time together.
Karaoke and Connection
And, of course, no CYS gathering would be complete without karaoke! The microphone came out, the singing began, and everyone had the chance to relax and perhaps discover some "hidden talents" among their colleagues.
Beyond the games and good food, the event gave everyone a chance to step away from the usual work routine and simply enjoy each other's company. Sharing a meal, cheering each other on, singing together, and exchanging a few laughs created plenty of opportunities to connect beyond our everyday work.
More Than Just Winning
At the end of the day, it was not about who collected the most tokens or picked the winning horse, but the conversations, laughter, and memories that will stay with everyone long after the last horse crossed the finish line.
