In a world where giving back is as important as business success, CYS Global Remit steps up with a noble gesture by participating in the "Race for Good 2023," a charity run organised by the Salvation Army of Singapore.
This remarkable event signifies the perfect blend of corporate responsibility and community spirit. Race for Good 2023 marks the culmination of 88 years of the Salvation Army's unwavering community service in Singapore. It's not just a run but a collective call to "love beyond."
This event is all about emphasizing that when we extend our love beyond the usual boundaries, we can bring hope and support to those who need it most. This year, the focus is on raising awareness and funds to aid various segments of Singaporean society, including vulnerable children, elderly citizens, ex-offenders and their families, and migrant workers.
As part of our ESG initiatives, CYS Global Remit wholeheartedly backed this noble cause and to further underline our commitment to society, CYS Global Remit donated all the Race T-shirts provided by the organizers to the beneficiaries. What's even more heartwarming is that we extended an invitation to our staff's families, resulting in a heartwarming display of unity as many family members joined the run, embodying the spirit of togetherness.
The "Race for Good 2023" offered a variety of run distances, catering to participants of all fitness levels, from 8.8km, 5km, 3km, to 880m, ensuring that everyone who participated and contributed to the cause in their own way.
Following the race, participants were treated to a lively carnival, adding a festive touch to the event. This not only provided a platform for networking and camaraderie but also exemplified the joyful and inclusive atmosphere that The Salvation Army seeks to promote.
After the invigorating run and the carnival fun, our CYS Global Remit team headed to "The Boiler," a popular restaurant located at the Esplanade Mall. There, we indulged in a mouthwatering seafood feast, savouring the joy of coming together and the satisfaction of making a meaningful contribution to society. It was a fitting conclusion to a day filled with shared purpose and goodwill.
CYS Global Remit's involvement in the "Race for Good 2023" isn't merely proof of our dedication to corporate social responsibility; it's also a heartwarming example of how a company can lead by example in giving back to the community.
