A Heartfelt Birthday Celebration for Our CEO

Birthdays are always special, but they become truly memorable when celebrated by the people who matter most—our team. Last week, we gathered over a warm and lively lunch to honour the birthday of our esteemed and beloved CEO. The atmosphere was filled with cheer, genuine smiles, and heartfelt wishes, reminding us of the incredible spirit that binds us. 

We were delighted to be joined by several guests who took the time to drop by the office, adding an extra layer of warmth and vibrancy to the occasion. Seeing familiar faces reconnecting and sharing this special moment together was truly heartwarming -the kind of memories that strengthen our bond and our culture. 

And what better way to celebrate than with a delectable feast! Our in-house pantry team outdid themselves, serving up a stunning paella-style seafood platter that was the star of the show. It was piled high with an irresistible medley of fresh, whole fish, prawns, squid, mussels, and savoury chorizo – all on a bed of fragrant sundried tomato olive rice bursting with bold flavours.  

To balance the richness, we enjoyed a crisp Italian-style salad of romaine lettuce, cherry tomatoes, olives, and shredded onion, drizzled with a creamy thousand island dressing. And to bring a cozy closing touch, we savoured a warm bowl of tomato vegetable soup—comforting and perfect for rounding off the savoury spread.  

Of course, no celebration is complete without a sweet finale. The highlight was our stunning blue pea coconut cake - a delightful blend of tradition and innovation. Its delicate aroma, fluffy texture, and subtle sweetness left everyone impressed. Many couldn’t resist going back for seconds, celebrating not just the occasion but also the joy of shared moments.

Beyond the delicious food and joyful atmosphere, this celebration served as a beautiful reminder of the camaraderie and unity we cherish at CYS. Amid our busy routines, moments like these give us a chance to pause, reflect, and truly appreciate each other -a testament to the strong, warm culture we continue to build together.
